The K-Pop queens have a massive hit on their hands with 'DDU-DU DDU-DU.'

The rise and rise of K-Pop continues today (February 28) with BLACKPINK’s history-making Billboard cover. The massively popular quartet strikes a pose for the music bible and opens up about their grueling pop-star training. They not only endured singing, dancing and rapping lessons for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, the ladies were also given impromptu tests. “Somebody would come in with a piece of paper and stick it on a wall, and it would say who did best, who did worst, who’s going home,” Jennie recalls. “You get a score — A, B, C,” Lisa adds.

“I’d call my parents crying,” remembers Rosé. “But as much as it was hard for me to cope with all of that, it made me more hungry. I remember my mom would be like, ‘If it’s so hard for you, just come back home.’ But I’d be like, ‘That’s not what I’m talking about!'” To get through it, the K-Pop Queens leaned on each other. “Jennie would speak English to me, and Jisoo helped me out with my Korean,” Lisa remembers. It looks like all of the sacrifices have really paid off. Click through their stunning shoot up top and read the full interview here.
