2019 is shaping up to be a year of nostalgia-inducing moments! The Backstreet Boys kicked things off by soaring to the top spot on the Billboard 200 with their album DNA. This summer Baby, Ginger, Scary and Sporty Spice are giving us what we really, really want: a Spice Girls tour. Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) is taking it one step further with a new solo album out in April. She launched the era with her ’60s-inspired bop “Baby Please Don’t Stop” earlier this week. And today (March 1), the Jonas Brothers staged an official comeback with the unveiling of their single “Sucker.”

The infectious anthem comes following a People magazine report of a rumored reunion. Nick, Joe and Kevin confirmed the news yesterday with a cute teaser on The Late Late Show With James Corden. “It’s nice to be able to finally tell somebody,” Nick confessed. “We’ve kept this a secret now for almost seven, eight months.” And in a very quick turnaround, they return today with the single and its accompanying video. “I’m a sucker for all the subliminal things no one knows about you,” the “Year 3000” icons sing on the Ryan Tedder and Frank Dukes-produced bop.

“And you’re making the typical me break my typical rules. It’s true; I’m a sucker for you.” The Anthony Mandler-directed video is a vibrant and extravagant affair that really marks the trio’s return with style. It also features their partners: Danielle Jonas, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sophie Turner. I wouldn’t be remotely surprised if the single lands them another hit. That’s not all though. They also announced a week-long residency on The Late Late Show With James Corden.

Kicking off Monday, March 4, the takeover will include performances, skits and an interview about their decision to reunite following a six-year hiatus. Hopefully this means an album and a tour are also on the way in the near future. I don’t know about you, but I’m dying to hear “Lovebug,” “S.O.S.” and “Burnin’ Up” live again. In the meantime, prepare for a blast from the past and press play on the “Sucker” video below!
