Julia Michaels Releases A Dreamy Video For “Deep”
Julia Michaels’ Inner Monologue Part 1 is all killer, no filler, so it makes sense that every song is (seemingly) getting a moment to shine. The singer/songwriter got the ball rolling by releasing a video for “What A Time” and performing the song live on The Late Late Show. While that song is slowly being added to radio and Spotify playlists, the 25-year-old kindly gave us a video for the EP’s most relatable song, “Happy.” This week, she follows it up with a sun-dappled visual for “Deep.”
Along with “What A Time” (and that doesn’t exactly have a happy ending), “Deep” is the most upbeat song of Inner Monologue. It founds our heroine battling a serious case of love sickness and that sense of giddiness comes through in the hazy video. If Julia is indeed putting together something of a visual EP, I can’t wait to see what she comes up with for the Selena Gomez-assisted “Anxiety” and “Into You.” Watch the video for “Deep” up top and check out “Happy” below.
