Ben Platt is rapidly becoming one of pop’s most promising emerging voices. The Broadway superstar hasn’t wasted any time laying his claim on the title since announcing the release of his debut LP last month. Sing To Me Instead hasn’t even dropped yet (it’s out March 29); however, he continues to tease its arrival with one good release after the next. It all started with dual singles “Bad Habit” and “Ease My Mind,” both of which highlight his emotional range and exceptional voice. His hot streak continued with last week’s “Grow As We Go.” That’s a personal favorite off the tracklist thus far. However, it’s facing some stiff competition with the release of “Temporary Love.”

Out today (March 8), Ben’s latest is another compelling listen. Over a sweet production, the hitmaker vows to love a partner into eternity. “You’re afraid to meet someone. Cause you’ve been burned, you’ve been burned, you’ve been burned,” he sings on the opening lines. But he vows that won’t happen again on the chorus. “This is not a temporary love. Now your heart is in my hands. I won’t give it up,” he promises. He’s paired the single with another Nick Lieberman-directed video as well. That’s not all, though. Ben will perform the single on The Ellen DeGeneres Show next Thursday (March 14). In the meantime, check out the adorable video below!
