Selena Gomez Reveals That Her New Album Is “Coming Very Soon”
Christmas came early for Selenators yesterday (March 12) with the arrival of Selena Gomez, J Balvin, Benny Blanco and Tainy’s “I Can’t Get Enough” video and an exciting update on the long-awaited SG2. “I’m currently in the studio right now and it’s going really good,” the “Back To You” hitmaker told fans in an Instagram live chat. “I’m just nervous about it, honestly, ’cause I feel like the next few choices that I’m gonna make are very crucial,” she admitted. “So I’m trying to be really, really diligent and just patient with everything.”
There is light at the end of the tunnel, however. “The album is coming very soon and everything’s good,” Selena promised. While this update, combined with a recent Instagram post that showed her in the studio with frequent collaborators Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels, is certainly cause for optimism, the pop star expressed a similar sentiment way back in August, 2018 when she said the album was “basically done.” The 26-year-old even revealed that “Rare” was one of her favorite songs on the record.
One thing is for sure, SG2 will be worth the wait. After all, Selena has been in the studio with some of pop’s biggest names including Benny, Justin, Julia, Sir Nolan, Murda Beatz, J Kash, Leland and Madison Love. Check out the rejuvenated singer’s various updates below.
