10 Essential Country/Pop Collabs
From 'Over And Over' to 'Meant To Be' 10 essential country/pop collabs.

The line between pop, rock and country has never been more blurred — a state of affairs that has allowed acts like LANCO to flourish. They broke big in 2017 with “Greatest Love Story” and then proved it was no fluke with the equally catchy “Born To Love You.” Both hits featured on their debut LP, Hallelujah Nights, and the band spend most of 2018 on tour. One of the songs they debuted on the road was a fist-pumping clap-back at haters called “Rival.” This finds the five-piece skirting Imagine Dragons territory as they lay down their personal mantra.

“There’s so much pressure to be like someone else or to live up to some outside expectation, especially with social media and how perfect it makes everything look,” frontman Brandon Lancaster explains. “We wrote this song from the perspective of no matter where you come from, be proud of who you are and the way you’re creating your own path. And if anyone doesn’t like it, just chalk them up as a rival and keep doing your thing.” As catchy as it us uplifting, “Rival” is the first taste of LANCO’s sophomore LP. Check it out below.
