Jonas Blue's New Banger, 'Rise'
The UK producer teams up with breakout duo Jack & Jack for 'Rise.'

Jonas Blue churns out massive bangers at an alarming rate. The UK producer finally got around to releasing his hit-filled debut LP, Blue, in late 2018 and then got straight back in the studio. He now joins the New Music Friday lineup with a new tune called “What I Like About You.” Featuring the vocals of rising Danish diva Theresa Rex (you might recognize her voice from Martin Jensen’s “Solo Dance”), Jonas’ new single is an instantly catchy, radio-friendly dance-pop anthem about the rush of insanity that often accompanies love.

“All my life I’ve been a good girl, trying to do what’s right — never told no lies,” Theresa begins the song. “Then you came around and suddenly my world turned upside down.” It’s a state of affairs that she embraces on the soaring chorus. “You’re so out of line, you make me bad and I don’t know why,” the “Wild Ones” singer belts. “But that’s what I like about you.” It’s unclear if this is the first taste of Jonas’ sophomore LP or a stand-alone single, but it has all the ingredients of a spring smash.
