The 'American Idol' winner rolls out a new single called 'Keep On Movin' On.'

With American Idol back on our TV screens, it’s time for last year’s winner to pick up the promo. A challenge that Maddie Poppe is more than capable of. The 21-year-old made a great first impression with the catchy “Going Going Gone,” before switching things up on songs like “Keep On Movin’ On” and “First Aid Kit.” She might just have her first country-pop crossover hit on her hands, however, with “Made You Miss.” Co-written with Ross Golan, Johan Carlsson and Sam Roman, the Clarksville, Iowa native’s latest single channels vintage Shania Twain.

After dismissing a late-night call from a dude who kept her hanging for six whole months (rude!), Maddie has the last laugh on the feisty chorus. “Made you miss me, now you wanna kiss me,” she brags. “Hope you’re listening, can’t delete your history — but I made you miss me.” It’s catchy and fun, and could work on multiple radio formats. “This is a very special song to me because it came just as I was finishing up the album,” the rising star explains, “literally my last day in LA.”

“Once I heard it, I knew it must be the icing on the cake — just what I needed to finish the album,” Maddie continues. “I had so much fun writing and recording with these incredible songwriters and it’s such an honor to be able to release it as my single.” Listen to the sassy smash below.
