Céline Dion Announces New Album & ‘Courage World Tour’

Céline Dion dropped by the Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles to belt out a couple of songs (“I’m Alive,” “Ashes” and “My Heart Will Go On”) and share some news. First of all, the pop icon is leaving Las Vegas. After a 16-year stint at Caesars Palace, the Canadian songbird is winding up her residency and bringing a completely new show on the road. The Courage World Tour kicks off in Québec City, QC on September 18 and then stops in more than 50 North American cities, before winding up in Winnipeg, MB on April 27, 2020. International dates will follow.
Every bit as exciting is the news that Céline will perform songs from a new album. Courage is tentatively due in November (she threw out the date in a post-concert Q&A) and the title track is said to be the emotional center piece. The glamorous 51-year-old also revealed that Sia had contributed songs to the album and joked about wanting to release a triple album. It turns out that Céline is sitting on 48 songs she really loves and is having trouble whittling it down to a 12-song tracklist. Watch the great diva’s full presentation and Q&A here.
