Another One! Jonas Brothers Continue Hot Streak With New Bop “Cool”

The Jo Bros revival is picking up steam. Last month the Jonas Brothers netted their biggest hit to date with their comeback single “Sucker.” Following a six-year hiatus, Nick, Joe and Kevin flew to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with the plucky anthem. And they could very likely pull off the feat once again with their equally catchy follow-up track “Cool.” Out today (April 5), the single is a laidback bop about feeling on top of their game. “I’m feeling so cool. I’m top to the bottom just cool. And every little thing that I do. Damnit, I’m feeling so cool,” Nick croons on the opening lines. Considering the breathtaking success of their reunion thus far, the song couldn’t be more on the nose right about now.

Oh yeah, it’s also lush with plenty of clever pop culture references. Aside from showing Post Malone love (likely retuning the favor after the rapper shouted out the boy band on last year’s “Better Now”), Joe also works in tributes to Game Of Thrones and Nick’s last solo album Last Year Was Complicated. Meanwhile, Nick refers back to that infamous red dress from their iconic hit “Burnin’ Up,” Jane Fonda and claims the title of a “new James Dean.” That’s not all. The hitmakers also serve some retro vibes in the summery music video. Directed by Anthony Mandler it sees them pre-game Bingo Night with a live performance. They also hit the streets and beach for some fun in the sun.
