Valerie Broussard & Lindsey Stirling Join Forces For “Deeper”

While the name Valerie Broussard might not be on your radar yet, chances are you will know her voice. The singer/songwriter has earned multiple TV syncs with her own music and landed a global club hit as the featured artist on Kygo’s “Think About You.” In fact, she impressed the Norwegian DJ so much that he signed her to his Palm Tree Records imprint via RCA. The rising star unleashed her major label debut single on Friday (April 5) and “Deeper” is a soaring ballad with a brilliant vocal and a stirring violin solo courtesy of Lindsey Stirling.
“Deeper” also has a timely message. “[The song] is about the experience of having someone close to you battle with mental health or addiction problems,” Valerie reveals. “[It’s] about saying to someone ‘you can push me away all you want, I will not give up on you.’ It’s about standing firm for someone because you know they would do it for you. Most importantly it’s about knowing that mental health is much like physical health, that those who are affected cannot help it.” Watch the Philadelphia native’s stunning “Deeper” video below.
