Pink's Epic 'Walk Me Home' Video
The pop/rocker's 'Walk Me Home' video already ranks as one of 2019's best.

Pink sure likes to keep us guessing. After delivering one of her trademark anthems with “Walk Me Home” and rocking out on “Hustle,” the 39-year-old takes us to the club on “Can We Pretend” — the latest cut from her upcoming Hurts 2B Human album (due April 26). She teams up with EDM trio Cash Cash to concoct a bittersweet banger brimming with nostalgia and an all-too relatable weariness with the state of the world. And, while it’s initially jarring to hear Alecia’s growl over glossy synths, I was completely hooked by the chorus.

“I remember conversations, we were dancing up on tables,” Pink reflects in the opening verse. “Taking pictures when we had nowhere to post.” In a bid to escape social media and the general shittiness of 2019, the enduring hitmaker suggests a game of make believe. “Can we pretend that we both like the President? Can I pretend that I really like your shoes?” she asks on the chorus. “Can we pretend? ‘Cause, honestly, reality, it bores me.” At this rate, Hurts 2B Human is shaping up to be the pop/rocker’s most eclectic album to date.
