AJ Mitchell Celebrates His 18th Birthday With An ‘ICON’ Magazine Shoot

AJ Mitchell is commemorating his 18th birthday in style. While some would mark the occasion with a messy celebration, the rising star went a slightly different direction. Instead he posed for a cute new photoshoot for ICON magazine. Shot by Fenton Bailey and styled by Edoardo Caniglia, he serves a variety of looks for the expansive project. Rocking a black suit (paired with a fedora in some photos), he lights up a cigarette. In others, he wears a white tank and poses under dramatic lighting. Later, the hitmaker sits at the piano. He also reclines on a sofa in a very stylish outfit.

The teen has a lot to celebrate right now. Last year, he netted a viral hit with “Used To Be.” The earnest bop amassed more than 31 million Spotify streams. And the Bellville, Illinois native has another hit on his hands with last month’s “All My Friends.” The confessional track is already pulling down strong streaming numbers and shows no signs of slowing down.
