Madonna & Maluma’s “Medellín” Video Will Premiere Next Week

Madonna is not playing games right now. Over the weekend the Queen Of Pop announced plans to stage a glorious return with the impending release of her fourteenth LP – Madame X. The first taste, her Maluma-assisted lead single “Medellín,” arrived today (April 17). Unsurprisingly, it is a pop-saving bop with a seriously addictive sound. And the accompanying music video is following closely behind. Not only that, but its release is shaping up to be quite the spectacle. How so? The living legend is partnering with MTV to premiere it next week. The network is marking the occasion with a live special called “MTV Presents Madonna Live & Exclusive: ‘Medellín’ Video World Premiere.”

The premiere takes place Wednesday, April 24 at 4 pm ET and is quite an international affair. Madonna will provide some insight into her forthcoming album during a chat with British DJ Trevor Nelson in London. She’ll also take questions from an audience. Meanwhile, Maluma will beam in from Miami. There are also additional events scheduled to take place in New York, Milan and São Paulo. Want in on the extravaganza? Bruce Gillmer, global head of music and talent, Viacom and co-brand head, MTV International, opened up about the partnership in a press release.

“Madonna and MTV have been intrinsically tied since their respective youths,” he said. “As Madonna continues to rule the world, we’re thrilled to be with her once again live from our Camden studios to world premiere her incredible collaboration with Maluma, ‘Medellín.’” Give the single a listen below while we wait for the video to arrive.
