Iggy Azalea Teases The Release Date Of Next Single, “Started”

Iggy Azalea is snatching wigs left, right and center in 2019. The rapper landed a solid hit with the release of her ferocious banger “Sally Walker” earlier this year. Buoyed by strong streaming numbers and a viral video, the single charted on the Billboard Hot 100. All things considered, it kicked off her In My Defense era on a high note. And the 28-year-old is hoping to extend her hot streak with the release of her second single “Started.” She teased the equally massive anthem by tacking a snippet onto the back-end of her “Sally Walker” video. Suffice to say that it sounds like another smash. “I started from the bottom, and now I’m rich,” she brags over an ominous production. “You started out hating, and now you love my drip.”

Luckily, it looks like fans won’t have to wait too long to hear the track in full. Last night the Aussie hinted at an imminent release date by updating her very iconic Twitter account with a new layout. And things are getting rather pink. “Time to change emojis,” she teased in a tweet. Meanwhile, her new profile photo is a snap of a pink cake with “Started” written on it. If we’re reading things right, the single appears to drop on May 3. In an interview with AT40, Iggy opened up about how the single stole the show in the recording studio. “‘Sally Walker’ was my favorite song for a long time, but then we made ‘Started,’ which is going to be my next single, and nobody would admit that it was the new favorite song in the room,” she explained.

She’s also referred to the video as her best yet. Clearly, the Survive The Summer hitmaker is coming for blood this time around. Revisit “Sally Walker” below while we wait for the new single to drop.
