Jonas Brothers Announce New Album ‘Happiness Begins’
The Jonas Brothers are back, and they mean business. Last month Nick, Joe and Kevin returned from a hiatus with the release of “Sucker.” Suffice to say that it was a raging success. The pop/rock anthem amassed more than 200 million Spotify streams, and the accompanying video has been viewed more than 111 million times on YouTube. Those impressive streaming numbers helped the trio land their biggest hit to date. “Sucker” soared to the top spot on the Billboard hot 100 and remains comfortably in the Top 10 as of last week’s chart. That was just the start of their comeback. They have another potentially massive hit on their hands with follow-up single “Cool.”
And today (April 22), they announced the impending release of their new album – Happiness Begins. Taking to social media, the brothers showed off the official cover. Shot from behind, it features them laying in front of a pool. Not only that, but they also confirmed the release date: June 7. Kevin opened up about the forthcoming LP in a tweet. “After 7 years of not working together & finding ourselves we’re back to give you our journey in album form,” he wrote. “Out of all the albums we’ve done I’m most proud of this one. Wish you could have it now, but you’ll just have to wait a little bit longer.” Nick and Joe shared similar sentiments in tweets of their own.
Considering the breathtaking success of “Sucker” and fan excitement for a new album, I’d say the JoBros are all but guaranteed another #1 album. And I don’t know about you, but I’ll be counting down the literal seconds until Happiness Begins arrives. In the meantime, check out the cover in full below.
