UPDATE: Kim Petras confirmed the title of her new single “Broken.” Listen to a snippet of it below!

Pop music is officially saved, and we owe it all to Kim Petras. The 26-year-old truly has the golden touch, as she has proven time and again with her iconic discography. Seriously, she has yet to release a bad song. And more new music is on the way. Today (April 22), she hopped online to confirm that something was coming this week. “brb saving the music industry,” she wrote on her very iconic Twitter account. Moments later she uploaded a new promotional photo and confirmed a Thursday (April 25) release date. It’s unclear what exactly she has in store for us. However, based on the moody photo, it seems like something a little more serious.

Kim has provided a slew of updates about music since gracing us with a trio of songs this February. Most recently she revealed that she recorded her favorite song ever in a series of tweets. “I wrote it on the bloom tour … it inspired the whole sound of the next chapter,” she wrote alongside a black heart emoji. “it means so much to me.” At the beginning of the month, she promised a lot of exciting things were in motion for April. Clearly, she is gearing up to deliver. With any luck, her latest will signify the first single off an impending debut album. Although Kim has released a slew of impeccable bangers over the last two years, I’m still desperately waiting for a full-length collection.

Check out her announcement below while we wait for more news.
