She’s Coming! Tinashe Appears To Tease New Music

It looks like Tinashe has big plans for 2019. Last year the 26-year-old rolled out her long-awaited sophomore LP Joyride. The album contained several should-be hits including collaborations with Offset (“No Drama”), Future (“Faded Love”), Ty Dolla $ign and French Montana (“Me So Bad”). However, the rudely slept-on anthems failed to make much of an impact on the charts. That didn’t stop the diva. Instead, she showed signs of moving on to a new project with the release of buzz singles “Like I Used To” and “Throw A Fit.” The latter in particular introduced us to her fucks-free alter ego Nashe and amassed more than 20 million Spotify streams. But it looks like that project has been put on pause.

In February, Tinashe’s management confirmed she parted ways with her longtime label RCA. “We initiated for her to be released. It was a positive split for her. It’s giving her back creative control,” Mike Nazzaro told Rolling Stone. Now it looks like the hitmaker is gearing up to share some exciting news. During a fan Q&A on Twitter this week, she appeared to confirm that several labels were in the midst of a bidding war to sign her. “Yes in fact I have a major label meeting today,” she replied. That’s not all. Today (April 23), she took to social media to tease what appears to be new music. “You ain’t gotta waste no time. Do whatever’s on your mind,” she sings over an aural production.

The teaser comes complete with some new video footage. Although she didn’t offer much of an explanation, it seems that something is in motion. “Let’s go,” she captioned her post. I don’t know about you, but I’m very ready for more music from Tinashe. Check out her post below while we wait for more details!
