RuPaul's 'American' LP
Pop/drag icon RuPaul gets political on his new album, makes several points.

Given his omnipresence on our TV screens with Drag Race and an upcoming talk show, it’s easy to forget that RuPaul is also one of the most enduring pop stars of the last 30 years. The multi-talented legend has hits stretching back to the early ’90s and is still blessing us with certified bops like “Sissy That Walk,” “American” and “Kitty Girl.” The flawless 58-year-old now adds another gem to his discography called “Queens Everywhere” — a tune that showcases Ru’s rap chops. (Yes, he can do everything).

“Queens Everywhere” features on a new compilation album called Queen Of Queens. The 8-track opus includes remixes of “Super Queen,” “American” and “Call Me Mother.” There are also a couple of instrumentals. As expected, it’s perfect party fodder and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. RuPaul is nothing if not prolific, so it wouldn’t be too surprising if he drops another studio album (or other enticing project) before the end of the year. In the meantime, do your ears a kindness by streaming Queen Of Queens below.
