Madonna Soars On 'I Rise'
The Queen of Pop shows a very different side of Madame X on 'I Rise.'

It’s still early days, but Madonna is really bringing the Madame X promo. The Queen of Pop premiered the “Medellín” video via a global live stream and then stole the show at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards with the song’s live debut. ($5 million worth of ground-breaking special effects and Maluma also helped). The sexy 60-year-old continues to raise awareness for her new album by landing on the cover of British Vogue. Snapped by legendary photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, this is the pop icon’s classiest shoot in a long time.

Madonna is snapped cradling a book in a bathtub on the cover, looking like a dead ringer for herself circa 1989. In other pics, Madame X poses in front of typewriter and is photographed eating a bowl of pasta. The interview, which will appear in the June issue, hasn’t been released online yet, but it looks like the living legend puts the girls in their place. “I hope they appreciate it,” Madonna quips when asked about her impact on the generations of pop stars that followed in her footsteps.
