Madonna Announces Intimate ‘Madame X Tour’: See The Dates

Madonna Soars On 'I Rise'
The Queen of Pop shows a very different side of Madame X on 'I Rise.'

Edit: The demand to see Madame X in person is so big that new dates have already been added!

Madame X is coming to a semi-intimate theater near you! Madonna announced the Madame X Tour via a cute video featuring Diplo earlier this morning (May 6). The featurette, which was obviously filmed post-BBMAs performance, explains why the Queen of Pop is gracing comparatively small venues instead of stadiums. (Her Sticky & Sweet Tour remains the highest grossing tour by female artist at $408 million). It turns out, the 60-year-old wants to connect with fans and spend a bit of time in each city on the list.

This is where things get a little tricky. If you don’t live in a major metropole, you might have to travel. The Madame X Tour kicks on in New York on September 12 with a seven-night run at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House. Next up is four nights at the Chicago Theatre and five nights at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. And that’s it, at least for now. Additional shows will be added in Las Vegas, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Lisbon, London and Paris. Oh, and there’s another innovation. You can bid for tickets in advance.

This is rather complicated, so I’ll just quote the press release: “Ticket requests for all shows will be accepted now through Friday, May 10th (11:59pm EDT) at madonna.livenation.com. Fans will be able to select city and show preference plus their preferred price points prior to completing their request. By Friday, May 17th, fans whose requests have been confirmed will be notified of fulfillment and informed of their ticket allocation(s) and corresponding show information.”

The price points? Tickets range from $60 to $760. Each ticket with a copy of Madame X, which is basically priceless. There’s also a limited allotment of $10 tickets, which are only available via Madonna’s website. See all the dates below.
