Justin Bieber Promises A Smash
The pop star got fans excited by revealing that he plans to release a smash.

Edit: Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran’s collaboration is called “I Don’t Care” and it drops on Friday. See the official announcement at the bottom of the post.

Mystery solved. (Kind of). Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran sparked a lot of chatter on social media when they shared almost-identical pics against a green screen on instagram along with the caption “10.” Some fans interpreted it as a song title, while others theorized that it was the start of a countdown. It turns out, it was a reference to the May 10 release date of a collaboration tentatively called “idc.” Justin shared a snippet of the song earlier this morning (May 6) and tagged the Brit.

“We at a party we don’t wanna be at,” the Purpose hitmaker croons in the snippet. It’s only brief, but the song already sounds like a hit. The imminent arrival of new music shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. Justin has been hinting at new music for a while now. He promised that “a smash” was on the way in an Instagram story and said that an album was “coming soon” at the end of his recent Coachella cameo. It looks like he came good on his promise.
