David Guetta Joins Forces With Raye For “Stay (Don’t Go Away)”

David Guetta is one of the prolific artists in music. Since releasing his 7th LP in late 2018, the French producer has already released a series of one-off collaborations, stand-alone singles and underground club tracks under the moniker Jack Back. The enduring hitmaker now returns with an accessible banger with huge crossover potential. Featuring UK pop star Raye, “Stay (Don’t Go Away)” is classic Guetta. It’s euphoric, instantly catchy house music with a fully-fledged pop sensibility.
“You don’t even have to try, no other lips can make me cry,” Raye belts over cascading synths. “But there is something ’bout the way you look, something from my heart you took tonight and I don’t mind — stay.” The club anthem reaches its zenith on the booming chorus. “Don’t go away, don’t go away — stay.” Time will tell if this is the lead single from David’s 8th LP, but it’s a fairly safe bet. “Stay (Don’t Go Away)” has the potential to be a huge song as the European summer approaches.
