Halsey Reveals Her Creepy “Nightmare” Single Cover
We’re counting down the days until Halsey rolls out her new single “Nightmare.” The 24-year-old announced the forthcoming release during an intimate concert in New York City last week. The song, her first solo project since “Without Me,” arrives Friday (May 17) and anticipation is very high to see what she has in store. Based on the title, it seems safe to expect something a little darker thematically. That is reflected in the official single cover. Out today (May 13), the artwork is a serious mood. On it, the hitmaker poses with her tongue out under an orange and red filter. “C’mon little lady, give us a smile,” she wrote in the caption.
It looks like the cover may also include a potential song lyric – “I’ve tasted blood and it is sweet.” I’m definitely intrigued. Currently it’s unclear if the single will be another stand alone like “Without Me” or if Halsey is gearing up to launch a new era. However, the timing is right for a new studio album. It has been almost exactly two years since she dropped her last LP – Hopeless Fountain Kingdom – in 2017. Either way, 2019 is shaping up to be a big year for her. Back in January she landed her first solo number one on the Billboard Hot 100. She flew back into the Top 10 on the chart with a feature on BTS’s “Boy With Luv.”
All things considered, “Nightmare” is shaping up to be her next big hit. Check out the cover in full below.
