OneRepublic's 'Connection' Video
Ryan Tedder & Co. roll out an arty, black-and-white video for 'Connection.'

OneRepublic rolled out the lead single from their still-untitled 5th LP way back in June, 2018. Since then, Ryan Tedder & Co. have dropped a couple of collaborations, but the album’s second single has been M.I.A. until now. The band joins the New Music Friday lineup with “Rescue Me” and it ranks as one of their catchiest songs to date. “I miss all the times we had, can’t forget what you can’t get back,” Ryan sings in a verse. “And you can’t find it in another, (man) time, it ain’t your lover.”

And while what’s done is unfortunately done, a connection still remains. “I don’t care what you thought before,” OneRepublic’s frontman belts. “I’ll be there anytime you call.” That takes us to the lengthy, sing-along chorus. “Would you rescue me? Would you get my back? Would you take my call when I start to crack?” Ryan ponders over a shower of synths. OneRepublic has the Midas Touch when it comes to top 40 radio and this earworm is no exception. Watch the nostalgic video for “Rescue Me” below.
