Slayyyter drops 'Daddy AF'
The budding pop star makes a great first impression with the raunchy 'Daddy AF.'

Slayyyter officially arrived in a blaze of glory on Friday with “Daddy AF.” The outrageous banger showcases the 22-year-old’s lyrical prowess and rebellious attitude. The budding pop star will show a more vulnerable side on her next single. Catherine Slater (her real name) is releasing a cover of Britney Spears’ 2004 hit, “Everytime.” And from the snippet, it is surprisingly faithful to the original. The production is fuzzier and decidedly more alt, but it’s not unrecognizable.

“Got one more song left,” Slayyyter explained on Twitter. “It’s a cover of a song that means a lot, from one of my heroes. Then I’ll drop the album before tour.” The newcomer, who lists Heidi Montag and Courtney Stodden as inspirations, is very much a disciple of ’00s pop. As such, a Britney cover makes perfect sense. The prospect of an album is also good news. On the strength of “Mine” and “BFF” alone, it’s destined to be one of the year’s most fucks-free and fun pop offerings. Get a taste of “Everytime” below.
