It’s been a while since we’ve gotten new music from Kesha. The 32-year-old kept busy with a couple projects last year including “Here Comes The Change” and an update on “This Is Me” for The Greatest Showman Reimagined. But she’s been fairly quiet on the musical front lately. Thankfully that changed over the weekend when she unveiled a song called “Rich, White, Straight, Men.” She teased a snippet on her Instagram story yesterday (June 2) before uploading it to YouTube. “Hey Animals, it’s Kesha. I just wanted to say hi, and I just got a mix of a song. And I just don’t want it to sit on my computer. So I kind of want to share,” the hitmaker explained.

“I don’t know where it’s gonna go or what it’s gonna be on, but I don’t want it to just sit on my computer.” She may not know the track’s final destination. However, it’s abundantly clear that it is timely thanks to the current political climate. As the title suggests, “Rich, White, Straight, Men” is a protest anthem that imagines the ways life could change if we shook things up a bit. “What if life as we knew it was over? Guess what? God is a woman, I know her,” she sings. Her questions continue on the chorus, where the former K$ asks her most important one: “What if rich, white, straight men didn’t rule the world anymore?”
