Kane Brown Interview
We chat with the rising country star about Stagecoach and 'The Experiment.'

EDIT: The post has been updated with the video. As expected, the unlikely collaborators come through with a perfectly-crafted bop.

Kane Brown is one of country music’s brightest new stars. He’s also one of the genre’s least conventional, dabbling in sounds as diverse as R&B and reggaeton. The 25-year-old now adds an EDM collaboration to his growing resume. Kane is the featured artist on Marshmello’s “One Thing Right,” a country-club concoction that arrives on Friday (June 21). It’s not the first time that the genres have been combined (think Zedd, Grey & Maren Morris’ “The Middle” and Diplo & Cam’s “So Long”), but it promises to be one of the best.

After all, the bucket-wearing DJ is the ultimate sonic chameleon — rolling out dance-pop bangers at will, as well as collaborating with alternative bands, hip-hop artists and rock outfits. In addition to being good, “One Thing Right” could also be the vehicle that takes Kane to the next level. He has already racked up multiple number ones on the country chart (most notably “What Ifs,” “Heaven” and “Good As You”), but this could be the crossover hit the newcomer has been working towards.
