2019 is shaping up to be a big year for Elle Winter. Back in February she inked a deal with RED MUSIC. Since then the focus has turned to her debut EP. The release is tentatively due out later this fall, but it’s already off to a great start. She kicked off the era (and captured our attention) with “Sick Of You” last month. And today (June 21) the New York City native returns with her latest single “Do You.” Co-written and produced by The Orphanage, it sounds like a serious hit. Over vibrant beats, the rising star addresses someone who needs to focus on themselves instead of trying to control her life.

“You’re so unpredictable when you get insecure. You try to bring me down to your level. I wanna dance but not with this devil,” she sings. Everything builds up to the sing-along chorus. “What you going through? Trying to do me when you should do you. Said eh, won’t you get a clue. Stop trying to do me when you should do you.” Elle opened up about the track with Nylon. “‘Do You’ is an anthemic song with a message for people to work on themselves and focus on their own journey, not anyone else’s,” she explained. “The song is directed to anyone out there who tries to tell you how to live your life or how to be.” Sounds like an essential lesson to learn! Give the bop a listen below.
