Miley Cyrus just keeps sending our wigs into orbit. Between the release of SHE IS COMING, her Ashley O. output and upcoming Charlie’s Angels’ soundtrack collab with Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey, the 26-year-old has been exceptionally generous lately. And she’s just getting warmed up. Today (July 2), she returns with a video for her single “Mother’s Daughter.” The staggering anthem celebrates womanhood with fiercely unapologetic vibes. “Don’t fuck with my freedom. I came to get me some. I’m nasty, I’m evil. Must be something in the water or that I’m my mother’s daughter,” she belts on the chorus.

The message of rebellion and pride carries over to the video, which features cameos from a diverse cast of women. Directed by Alexandre Moors, it opens with the proclamation “every woman is a riot.” Then it proves just that. Dressed in a skin-tight red bodysuit, Miley splits screen time with Aaron Philip, Amazon Ashley, Angelina Duplisea, Casil McArthur, Lacey Baker, Mari Copeny, Melanie Sierra, Paige Fralix, Tydryn Scott and Vendela. Of course, there’s an appearance from the song’s namesake – her mom Tish Cyrus.

That’s not all. Miley also embeds several important messages into the video by flashing them across the screen. What do they say? A sample includes phrases like: “sin is in your eyes,” “virginity is a social construct” and “you are f*** beautiful.” She made it clear that her goal was to spark a conversation and empower movements in a post on Instagram. “Music makes Movements! We got the power,” she wrote. I’d say she achieves just that. Watch the video here.
