Florence + The Machines Announces ‘Lungs: 10th Anniversary Edition’

Has it really been a decade since Florence + The Machine burst onto the music scene with Lungs? The band’s seminal debut LP turns 10 today (July 3) and they marked the occasion by announcing Lungs: 10th Anniversary Edition. The deluxe package is being released on vinyl and cassette on August 16. They are also blessing fans with a deluxe box set, which is bound in cloth and contains the original album on pink vinyl as well as a bonus LP containing previously unreleased material. As for the tracklist, there is a hefty serving of new material. Highlights include an acoustic rendition of “My Boy Builds Coffins,” a live cover of The Beatles’ “Oh! Darling” and four demo tracks. The band kindly dropped two of demos today and they are well worth a listen. “Donkey Kosh” finds Florence Welch & Co. at their most experimental, while “My Best Dress” is a true diamond in the rough. With a bit of a polish, this could stand toe-to-toe with the best of Lungs. Listen to the new songs and peruse the tracklist below.
