It has been a big week for news about pop stars transitioning to the big screen. We’ve already feasted our eyes on Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B and Lizzo in the Hustlers trailer. The trio are gearing up to send our wigs into orbit with the eye-popping saga, and I’d like to preemptively give them all the awards. But that was just a warmup. Beyoncé also rolled out a video for her The Lion King anthem “Spirit” ahead of the film’s debut. And there’s still more. Today (July 18), we’re getting the official trailer for Cats, starring the likes of Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson and Jason Derulo.

And the trailer is… a lot to take in. There’s dancing and music and a lot of people dressed up as felines. The classic musical is heading to theaters this winter and boasts a very star-studded cast. Aside from the above-mentioned pop powerhouses, James Corden, Judi Dench, Idris Elba, Ian McKellen and Rebel Wilson are also tied to the project. They all make in-costume cameos in the two-plus minute clip. Not only that, but we also get a first taste of J-Hud belting out the enduring hit “Memory.” After it premiered, Taylor hopped on Twitter to gush about the project.

“I am a cat now and somehow that was everything,” she wrote. The lifelike cat costumes are moderately nightmarish (it had to be said). But I have to admit that I’m curious to see how this translates to a full-length film. In the meantime check out the trailer below.
