Lennon Stella Interview
The rising star talks 'BITCH,' her debut EP & upcoming debut album.

Lennon Stella has maintained a relatively low profile since dropping “BITCH (takes one to know one)” in March, but the rising pop star makes a welcome return as the featured artist on The Chainsmokers and ILLENIUM’s “Takeaway.” The track was released today (July 24) and most certainly isn’t about fast food. Instead, it dissects the games we play in relationships. “Before I love you, I’m gonna leave you,” Lennon sings with a little help from Drew Taggart. “Before I’m someone you leave behind, I’ll break your heart so you don’t break mine.”

However, they want a little souvenir. “Even if I’m not here to stay, I still want your heart — your heart for takeaway.” Savage. The collaborators all feature in the video, which was filmed at The Vessel at Hudson Yards in New York City. “We are so lucky to have had the opportunity to be one of the first artists to create a music video with The Vessel,” The Chainsmokers rave in the press release. “We are from New York so to be a part of something that will be a huge part of New York City history is incredibly special to us.”

“Takeaway” is the latest single from The Chainsmokers’ building album, World War Joy. It follows hits like “Call You Mine” featuring Bebe Rexha and “Who Do You Love” featuring 5 Seconds of Summer. Watch the video below.
