Melanie Martinez is coming back in a big way. We’re counting down the days until the release of K-12. The LP – her first since 2015’s Cry Baby – arrives September 6 and will be paired with a musical film. Last week, the 24-year-old teased us with a trailer for the self-written and -directed project. In it, she reassumes the role of her alter ego Cry Baby and heads away to an eerie sleepaway school. The alt-pop star also unveiled the album’s tracklist. Based on titles such as “Wheels On The Bus,” “Detention,” “Class Fight,” “The Principal” and “Teacher’s Pet,” it’s safe to say that it will be very on-theme.

But that’s not all. Today (July 29) Melanie revealed the dates for an accompanying tour. She’ll launch The K-12 Tour with a set at Washington DC’s All Things Go Fall Classic festival October 13. From there, there are stops in most major cities across North America before playing a final show in Seattle November 20. Next up is a string of European dates beginning in Dublin December 2. And it sounds like the show is going to stick very closely to the plot of the film. “It’s been a bit since I’ve been on tour and I’m incredibly excited to bring the movie to life on stage,” Melanie enthused in a press release.

“I’m putting all of my energy into making it not only visually stunning and pleasing to the senses but also a fun learning experience and a safe place to express yourself and be accepted for exactly who you are.” Tickets officially go on sale to the public August 9 at 10am local time in North America and 10am GMT in Europe. In the meantime, check out the dates for The K-12 Tour below.
