Lauv & Anne-Marie Join Forces For “f*ck, i’m lonely”

Lauv’s debut LP, ~how i’m feeling~, is shaping up to be one of the year’s best releases. The 24-year-old introduced the album with the absurdly catchy “Drugs & The Internet” and then backed it up with another gem called “Sad Forever.” He now makes it three (sad) bops in a row with “fuck, i’m lonely.” A collaboration with UK pop star Anne-Marie, the relatable anthem finds Lauv dealing with the emotional aftermath of a breakup. “I know it’s been a minute since you walked right through that door,” he laments. “But I still think about you all the time.”
It turns out that Anne-Marie is also going through it. “Yeah, I still watch the shows you showed me,” she admits. “I still drink that wine, but these days it tastes more bitter than sweet.” The collaborators then come together for the sing-along chorus. “Fuck, I’m lonely, I’m lonely, I’m lonely as fuck,” they chant. “Come hold me, come hold me, come hold me.” The surefire hit can be found on Lauv’s upcoming debut LP as well as the soundtrack of 13 Reasons Why (Season 3). “I believe the show has done amazing work,” the hitmaker explains. However he has a minor caveat.
“I wanted to share my thoughts about the show with you,” Lauv continues. “When you watch, watch thoughtfully — start with a close friend who you feel like you can be honest with.” Listen below.
