Zendaya Links Up With Labrinth On “All For Us” For ‘Euphoria’ Finale

With the breakout popularity of “Replay” in 2013, Zendaya was poised to be one of music’s new It Girls. A self-titled album arrived that same year and performed respectably on the charts. However, the 22-year-old’s focus shifted over the years. Since dropping “Something New” in 2016, her musical projects largely consist of soundtrack contributions that correlate to her acting work. She lent her voice to “Wonderful Life” for Smallfoot and sings on anthems including “Rewrite The Stars” for The Greatest Showman.

Last night (August 4) she continued the trend by singing on a song for the season finale of HBO’s Euphoria. To mark the final episode of the first season, Zendaya (who plays the role of Rue) linked up with Labrinth on a reworked version of “All For Us.” Originally released as a solo song, the new version is doubly powerful. “Taking it all for us. Doing it all for love,” Zendaya sings over the massive production. The track serves as a reminder of her musical prowess. However, it shouldn’t be taken as a sign that a new album is in the works.

During a recent interview with Paper magazine, Zendaya made it pretty clear music wasn’t a priority right now. She also addressed her experience with the industry. “I think the [music] industry takes a little bit of passion away from you,” she explained. On the bright side, she did allude to future goals of working as a songwriter. In the meantime, check out the update on “All For Us” below.
