Premiere: Kiiara Unveils “Open My Mouth” Vertical Video
With an impossibly catchy chorus, relatable lyrics and endless hooks, Kiiara’s “Open My Mouth” ranks as one of the best pop songs of the summer. Produced by Ian Kirkpatrick, the irresistible anthem has amassed 6 million+ Spotify streams in under a month. That number will skyrocket as the track is worked at radio and fans embrace its message. “I want to make music that people can sing along to, relate to, and are able to interpret in their own way,” the 24-year-old explains.
“For me, this song is about me opening my mouth about a struggle with anxiety that I’ve dealt with for years in silence,” she continues. Filming the video proved to be a turning point. “The day we shot this video it felt like a weight was lifted,” Kiiara reveals. “I was just so excited to finally share these feelings I’ve kept bottled up inside and was goofing around behind the scenes.” Happily, that behind-the-scenes fun was captured on camera and we are very excited to premiere an alternate, vertical video for “Open My Mouth.” Watch below.
