Working On ‘LG6’? Lady Gaga Posts A Photo In The Recording Studio
It looks like LG6 is coming together. It’s been three years since Lady Gaga dropped Joanne, and Little Monsters everywhere are desperate for another album. Of course, the generous diva hasn’t left us totally high and dry between projects. She’s dropped a couple cute songs including “The Cure” and a cover of Elton John’s “Your Song.” Last year she did the brunt of the heavy lifting on the A Star Is Born soundtrack, too. Even still, a new LP from her is one of the most-anticipated pop projects for the year. Thankfully, it looks like Mother Monster is aware.
Today (August 14), she teased fans with a photo from inside the recording studio on her Instagram story. In the black-and-white pic, captioned “music,” she poses in front of a microphone. There’s no real clues about what the “Hair Body Face” icon is working on. However, it makes sense that she’d be laying down vocals for her sixth album. After all, she did tell fans she was pregnant with the project earlier this year. It will be interesting to hear what Gaga’s new material sounds like. Over the years producers including BloodPop, Boys Noize, DJ White Shadow and Sohpie have hinted at their involvement.
That lineup implies a more electro-pop direction. But I’m wondering if the overwhelming success of “Shallow” may inspire her to slip a little more Americana into the mix. We’ll have to wait and see. On the bright side, it does at least look like things are coming together. Check out Gaga’s latest update below.
