Valerie Broussard's 'Deeper'
The breakout star teams up with Lindsey Stirling for new single, 'Deeper.'

Valerie Broussard’s breakout 2019 continues with “Roots.” A collaboration with Swedish duo Galantis, the banger is an ode to the City of Angels. “I’ve always considered myself a bit of a wanderer, and so it surprised me greatly when I started missing Los Angeles while I was away on tour,” the newcomer explains. “This song is my love letter to LA, a place I had once considered nothing more than a temporary home.” The song also has another meaning. “[It’s] about any person or place that makes a life-long traveler want to put down roots.”

“Roots” will feature on Valerie’s debut EP, Wonderous Strange (due this fall). The club-friendly track further showcases her versatility. The rising vocalist made her major label debut with soaring ballad “Deeper” and then followed it up with an upbeat bop called “Actually.” Valerie is no stranger to EDM, however. After all, she broke through as the featured artist on Kygo’s “Think About You.” (He was impressed that her signed to his Palm Tree Records imprint via RCA). Listen to “Roots” below.
