Ciara and Todrick Hall spice up the week by linking up on a remix of “Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels.” The duo surprised fans in the audience for World Pride 2019 with a joint rendition of the cheeky banger earlier this summer. Yesterday (August 19) they rolled out a studio recording of the duet. And it is bound to become a floor-filler in gay bars across the globe. On it, they find an easy chemistry. “I don’t dance, I work. I don’t play, I slay,” Todrick chants. “Say girl, struttin’ long hair, long nails and my hips to spread, ooh girl. I’ve been working all night but I ain’t break no sweat,” Ciara adds. “Every time I pose, another million dollars.”

The “Level Up” diva had nothing but positive things to say about the collab. “Todrick is such a visionary, I have been a fan of his work for some time now. It’s exciting to see what he’s going to create every time he drops something,” Ciara gushed in a press release. “He reached out to me a while ago to join him on one of his songs, and this was the track that I loved. I couldn’t wait to get to the studio and lay down my verse. We got the chance to perform it together at World Pride during my set. This is such a fun song that anyone can dance to, especially in the club! I’m so excited that it is finally out!”

Todrick was equally excited about the opportunity. “To collaborate with an icon and queer ally like Ciara is simply a dream come true,” he enthused. “NHHH has become an anthem for the gay community and now the song will have an even broader appeal, because no matter the race, gender or sexual orientation, everyone deserves to have a song make them feel fabulous!” Since they’ve already performed the track, my only hope is that they also join forces for a video. If they do, it is sure to be very heavily choreographed. While we wait to see if that comes to fruition, check out the reimagined track below.
