When Gaga & David Archuleta Hung Out
The year was 2008. Lady Gaga was just beginning her ascent. He was red hot from 'Idol.'

It’s hard to believe that David Archuleta is still on 28 years old. After bursting onto our TV screens in the seventh season of American Idol way back in 2008, the pop star has released six albums (including two seasonal offerings). He’s currently chipping away at album number seven, which is scheduled to drop next year. Not that fans will have to wait long for new content. David just released “Paralyzed” as the first single from the project and it’s the kind of powerful pop that we have come to expect from him.

“Paralyzed” also has layers. “[It’s] a bit of a venting song,” David explains. “I get frustrated watching myself hesitate so much, and not let go of things from the past that I know I should. A lot of those past things are fears, anger, resentment, and I see how they all form excuses in my mind of why I can’t move forward. I watch as missed opportunities fly by and I just do nothing, because I freeze. It gets me so frustrated! This song is the battle with those paralyzing thoughts and I intend to be the victor.”

Watch the stylish video for “Paralyzed” below. It was directed by Brian Petchers and filmed at the historic Lott House in Brooklyn, New York.
