Madonna’s Madame X Tour just ran into a last-minute delay. The Queen Of Pop was due to kickstart her latest show, comprised of a series of mini-residencies in intimate theaters, on September 12. However, she had to push the start date back to September 17. Why? In an official press release, the 61-year-old cited unexpected delays with “highly specialized production elements.” The change in plans affects three shows, which would have taken place on September 12, 14 and 15. All three were at New York’s BAM Howard Gilman Opera House.

Two of the three (those taking place on the 12 and 14) have been rescheduled for later dates in October. However, the final show had to be canceled. “Unfortunately, due to scheduling limitations and venue availability, the show previously scheduled for September 15th is cancelled and refunds will be automatically issued to fans with tickets to this show,” the release explained. Madonna apologized for the late change of plans. “Madame X Is a perfectionist and wants to give you the most unique, magical, and musical experience,” she said.

“She underestimated the amount of time it would take to bring this kind of intimate theatrical experience to you and wants it to be perfect!!! Thank you so much for your understanding.” Read the full statement, which includes refund information here.
