Tove Lo Joins Forces With Jax Jones For Raunchy Banger “Jacques”
UPDATE: Tove Lo unveiled a colorful and trippy video for her Jax Jones-assisted “Jacques.” Check it out below.
Tove Lo teams up with UK producer Jax Jones for a new banger called “Jacques.” Who is the titular character? Well, he’s a Frenchman the pop star once hooked up with. “Je m’appelle Jacques and I love you a lot,” our Casanova admits over deep house beats. “I’m with you tonight, but tomorrow I’m not.” It turns out that’s an offer the “Glad He’s Gone” hitmaker can’t refuse. “Je m’appelle Tove, get the show on the road,” she replies. “I’m down for one night, let’s go!”
Things get increasingly sexy from there. “No talking now, pull on my waist (Ooh la la la),” Tove moans on the chorus. “‘Cause I want you doing bad things to me, to me (Ooh la la la).” As with everything the Swede touches, this is a dose of dance-pop perfection. How did the collaboration come about? “I’ve wanted to work with Jax for a long time,” she explains. “[It’s] about a one-night fling with a French dude. It’s raw and cheeky, because that’s what that night was. This is the club banger on my new album Sunshine Kitty.”
“Jacques” also features on Jax’s new album SNACKS (Supersize). “If you liked my first song ‘I Got U’ then this is for you,” the producer says. “It’s got a fire bassline which in order to create I channeled the late great Jerry Barnes.” Take a listen to the future hit below.
