Billie Eilish falls from heaven in the video for her new single “all the good girls go to hell.” Out today (September 4), the Rich Lee-directed release opens with a reference to “bury a friend.” After being stabbed in the back by a slew of needles, the 17-year-old grows angel wings. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter she is cast out of the eerie paradise. Her fall from grace ends with a crash-landing in the midst of an oil spill on Earth. And from there it all goes downhill in a fiery burst of fury for the “bad guy” chart-topper.

But Billie’s latest release is more than just an eerie thriller. She’s using it as an opportunity to spark a conversation about climate change. “Right now, there are millions of people all over the world begging our leaders to pay attention,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “Our earth is warming up at an unprecedented rate, icecaps are melting, our oceans are rising, our wildlife is being poisoned and our forests are burning.” The hitmaker also raised awareness about the UN’s upcoming 2019 Climate Action Summit and the Global #ClimateStrike.

It will be interesting to see how the song performs now that “bad guy” has finished its run on the charts. Buoyed by album sales and streaming numbers, “ATGGTH” previously peaked at number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100. Now that it’s getting a promotional push, it could easily become the next big hit off Billie’s debut album. Press play on the video below.
