UPDATE: You can now stream the “Stack It Up” video below.

Liam Payne is back. Today (September 18), the 26-year-old relaunched his solo career with the release of “Stack It Up.” And his first new single in 2019 sounds like a serious hit. On it he links up with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie over a catchy production courtesy of Steve Mac. Lyrically, the One Direction alum and his collaborator have money on the mind. “I don’t wanna be broke when I d-i-e. Wanna be living it up in VIP,” Liam declares. He’s even more direct on the sing-along chorus. “So if you wanna stack it up, man you gotta work for it. Ain’t nobody gonna be doin’ it for ya.”

“I got dreams, and I got time. But that ain’t enough to get me by. So I stack it up, man I gotta work for it.” The NYC rapper’s verse is a nice addition, and the end result could easily be Liam’s biggest hit since “Strip That Down.” He opened up about the release on Instagram. “#StackItUp is about working hard, being inspired and achieving your dreams,” he explained about the Ed Sheeran co-written anthem. The “Familiar” hitmaker also confirmed that a video is on the way. That premieres today at 4 pm ET, and, based on some teasers, it will be a very colorful affair. Keep an eye on this post. We’ll get it updated once it arrives.
