Interview: Carly Rae Talks 'Dedicated'
We speak to Carly Rae Jepsen about her impeccable new album, 'Dedicated.'

Carly Rae Jepsen’s Dedicated era is truly the gift that keeps on giving. The Canadian pop star has already rolled out four perfect singles from the album (“Party For One,” “Now That I Found You,” “No Drug Like Me” and “Too Much”), but it looks like we’re getting a fifth. The 33-year-old unveiled the video for album highlight, “Want You In My Room,” this morning (September 19) and it’s every bit as adorable as the song. Directed by Andrew Donoho and shot at the Los Angeles County Arboretum, the clip is an ’80s daydream.

It begins with our heroine getting ready for a date and playing out various scenarios in her brain. Carly Rae serves serious looks (think short shorts and retro glitter) and generally looks like she’s living out a childhood fantasy. There’s a touch of whimsy with instrument-playing furniture and a splash of romance. With any luck, “Want You In My Room” will get some radio support and find the audience it deserves. Carly Rae is out here saving pop one song at a time, and she deserves to be recognized for it! Watch her latest video below.
