Lana Del Rey Launches ‘Norman F**king Rockwell! Tour’: See The Setlist
Lana Del Rey is giving us so much to love this summer. The generous chanteuse left us in awe with her new album Norman Fucking Rockwell. But that was just the start. Since then, she’s graced us with a stunning cover of Ariana Grande’s “break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored” for BBC Radio’s Live Lounge. She also takes the reins for the best part of her Ari and Miley Cyrus collab “Don’t Call Me Angel.” Their Charlie’s Angel anthem made a strong debut at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. And LDR still isn’t done. Friday (September 21) she launched her accompanying tour, and the setlist is very impressive.
Taking over Wantagh, New York’s Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater, Lana filled out opening night with a career-spanning collection of hits. That included several songs off her most recent album such as the title track, “Bartender,” “Doin’ Time,” “Mariners Apartment Complex” and “Venice Bitch.” The latter closed out the show. There are a couple other gems from the tracklist that would be nice additions in the future (justice for “Love Song” and “Cinnamon Girl”). However, the icon made up for their absence by fitting in some classics such as “Young And Beautiful,” “Video Games” and “Summertime Sadness.”
I’m also ecstatic to see “Off To The Races” – a personal favorite – getting a prime placement toward the back-end of the setlist. Lana also graced the night with a pair of star-studded guests. She welcomed Adam Cohen (Leonard Cohen’s son) onstage for a cover of “Chelsea Hotel #2.” Later in the show, Sean Lennon hopped on for a live rendition of their collab “Tomorrow Never Came.” Based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s pretty clear the Norman Fucking Rockwell! Tour is going to be one of the year’s hottest tickets. Scroll through a gallery of pics up top and check out the setlist (via Setlist.fm) below. You can also get ticket info here.
