Seinabo Returns With Dual Singles
Seinabo Sey is back with dual singles 'I Owe You Nothing' and 'Remember.'

Seinabo Sey’s I’m A Dream was one of my favorite albums of 2018 (start with “I Owe You Nothing” and “Good In You”). Even songs that didn’t quite make the final tracklist are good. Take “Shores.” A collaboration with artist/producers Vargas & Lagola, the first draft of the dreamy ballad began way back in 2017. “We didn’t get it ready in time for the album,” the “Younger” hitmaker remembers. “But when I was planning a gig in Stockholm a few weeks ago, I knew that I wanted to bring them on as guests and share this song.”

“Shores” was definitely worth the wait. “I have always wondered what’s behind your eyes, ’cause even when you try you cannot lie,” Seinabo begins the song over a sparse, largely acoustic arrangement. Salem Al Fakir (one half of Vargas & Lagola) then chimes in with a verse of his own. “I have always wondered why you bite your tongue, like every single word is on the run,” he sings, before they arrive at the shared chorus: “I’m moving on to life on better shores.” It’s an exquisitely-crafted, adult lullaby that demands your full attention.
