Nicki Minaj sent the industry into a panic when she suddenly announced plans to retire earlier this month. What gives? The Queen rapper explained that she wanted to spend time focusing on starting a family. After she noticed that the Barbz were not alright with the news, she hopped on social media to promise more of an explanation during an episode on Queen Radio. However, it doesn’t look like the icon plans to seriously slow down anytime soon. At least not based on her release schedule.

This week she’s due to drop two new collabs. First up is one with PnB Rock and Murda Beatz called “Fendi.” That drops at the stroke of midnight tonight (September 26). Based on a snippet, it sounds like a serious banger. Not only that, but Nicki swears it’s her “favorite song.” Could it be her next chart-dominating smash? But that’s not all. The “Hot Girl Summer” hitmaker also lands on DaBaby’s album Kirk. Her song is called “iPhone” and arrives alongside the rest of the LP Friday (September 27).

Are these tracks a bit of a pre-retirement treat? Or is she reevaluating her decision to step back from the industry? We’ll have to wait and find out. Personally, I think there’s at least one more album in our future, but nothing is certain. In the meantime, it’s good to know that more bops are coming from the legend in the near future. Check out a snippet of “Fendi” below.
