Mark Ronson & YEBBA Roll Out “Don’t Leave Me Lonely” Video
It feels strange to call a critically-acclaimed, hit album underrated, but I’m going to do it anyway. When it comes to a cohesive, emotionally-satisfying collection of songs, few albums released in 2019 compete with Mark Ronson’s Late Night Feelings. And yet, despite a jaw-dropping lineup of collaborators, the Miley Cyrus-assisted “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” is the only cut to really make a dent in pop culture. With any luck, “Don’t Leave Me Lonely” featuring YEBBA will find similar success.
An instant standout on Late Night Feelings, “Don’t Leave Me Lonely” brings viral sensation YEBBA to the mainstream. Not only that, but Mark steers her away from the heartbreaking balladry of songs like “Evergreen” to a shadowy disco soundscape without losing any of the emotion that permeates the former. They recently delivered a stellar performance of the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and now roll out a suitably classy video. It begins with Mark and YEBBA performing in the dark, but transforms into something quite different when day breaks. Watch below.
